When am I done?

At what point does parenting end? Never!!!
Does it ever get easier? No, the stresses just change!
When your children are infants, you think things be easier once they can crawl—then they get into everything. Maybe it’ll be easier once they walk—then you are exhausted trying to keep up.

It’s got to be easier when they get into school—then you have homework, schedules and peer pressure.

Once they are in are in high school and more mature, it’s got to be easier—then there is driving, college admissions, drinking and drugs.

Once they are off in college my life will be so much easier—there’s no curfew, late night parties, hanging out with people you don’t know, and then the job search. When they get married they’ll be on their own and it’ll be easier—then there’s the blending of two families, job & family stress, and determining what your role as a parent is.
It doesn’t sound like it ever gets easier—-the bottom line — parenting is hard! Don’t wear yourself out when they are babies, you still have a long way to go. PACE yourself!!! Indeed parenting is the hardest job you will ever have, and you can’t be fired (no matter how hard you try). But there is also no better job ever—the rewards are absolutely terrific. Take great pride and patience in this job, and you will be thrilled with the results.
I don’t recognize any of those people? Are they from your other family??
I am loving your blog so far! Keep up the good work and the interesting posts.
