It has been so much fun watching Michael Phelps’ mom as he continues to make Olympic history.   You can tell that she is incredibly proud of him – as we all would be.  But I don’t know if she is any more proud than I have been when my boys accomplished one of their goals–we all love it when our children are successful —olympians or otherwise.

I hope Michael Phelps is thankful for all the hours his mother has spent taking him to swim, paying for him to swim, and cheering him on as he swam.  Nathan, a friend of Wes’, recently shared that he took his mom out to a really nice “celebratory dinner” to thank her for letting him live at home as he starts his new job after recently graduating college!  Wow!!  Not only is Nathan successful, but he is also grateful!  I hope my boys are taking notes!
