My friend Gloria beat me in the grandma race!!!  Her daughter was not due until November and her daughter gave birth to a little boy yesterday!  Leyton weighed 2 pounds 10 ounces and is doing very well under the circumstances.  Jackie, his mom, is still in the hospital trying to get her blood pressure down.  She’s doing well, but of course, is anxious to get out and see her baby (who they moved to another NICU unit).

Mindy walked over to my house last night, and though sometimes uncomfortable, is doing really well at 36 weeks.  Although I am very anxious to meet my first grandbaby, I am very grateful that Mindy’s pregnancy is going so well.  I am very willing to be patient and wait for God to decide it’s time!  Big prayers go out to Gloria’s family as they begin their life with Leyton in less than ideal circumstances!  The good news is that we are both going to be very proud grandmas— I can’t wait to see her pictures but she’ll have to wait a bit to see mine and that’s okay!
