Back in the Saddle!

After more than a week of celebrating mine and Carolyn’s birthday, I am back to blogging….unlike my husband, I don’t carry my laptop with me! After being in three different cities this week I have lots to blog about!
School is out—hallelujah! I always loved when my children were home and we could set out own schedule. I was, however, usually ready when August rolled around! Sleeping late, going to movies, and eating junk is great the first couple of days, but it gets old. One of my favorite projects was to have my boys grocery shop with me, pick out what they wanted to cook for our family. Sometimes they were in charge of a meal for one night and as they grew older they were in charge of weekly meals. It was interesting to see what they wanted to cook (I was available for guidance) and how well they did. They are really good cooks now!
Summer is a great time to do things with your children that you don’t have time to do during the school year. Have Fun!!!

Are you sure they’re all really good cooks now? I happen to live with one….and I’m not sure if he’s considered a good cook….although he can whip up a mean peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
